Position Type: Full-Time

Chatham Charter School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Teacher’s Assistant to support classroom instruction and daily operations. This position works closely with the classroom teacher to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment and to provide academic and behavioral support to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by working with small groups and individual students
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization
• Reinforce lessons and help students stay engaged during activities
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times
• Provide support for students with varying academic and behavioral needs
• Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, grading, and organizing materials
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
• Maintain confidentiality of student and school information

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or coursework in education preferred
• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow directions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
